May 19, 2008 - Ryan and our visit to Idaho Falls

Ryan wanted to see the falls. Here we are infront of the falls and the Temple in Idaho Falls Grandpa and Ryan inside Iggy's. Ryan thought it was a great place and we had a really fun waitress.
Ryan outside Iggy's. He wanted to go there because he loved the name.

May 18 - Ryan's visit with Grandma and Grandpa

Ryan Liefson who is 5 years old is having his first vacation away from the family. He wanted to stay and visit with Grandma and Grandpa. He has learned how to use the laptop really well because he loves the Thomas Train web site. He plays the games, sings the songs etc over and over. When he's not playing on the computer, he plays with his and grandpa's trains. Monday evening we went to Jensen's grove and he played on the slides
He loved running up and down the hill.

He threw stuff in the water, and watched the boats and kids. He couldn't go in because he didn't have a suit or arm floaties, and besides the water is still really cold

May 15, 2009 - Randy is home!

The most exciting thing we did in Boise was to go to the airport to meet Randy Purcell as he flew in to that airport after serving a mission in Winnepeg, Canada. We wore our green shirts that we used to wear to Randy's high school basketball games, only we changed it to "Way to" Go - Randall. He came grinning down the concourse.

May 15 & 16 - Boise, Idaho Jared Tennis

Jared Purcell and his partner Megan, Dalley
Brian was a coach, and it was fun watching him settle things down.

They won two matches and lost two matches. The competition was really hard.

We went to Boise to watch Jared and his partner play tennis at the state championship meet.

May 14, 2009 Shoshone Falls and Twin Falls Temple

Paul and Beth drove to Boise, and made a stop to see the beautiful Shoshone Falls just outside of Twin Falls, Idaho. They were really running fast.

The temple in Twin Falls was dedicated last summer.

Catching up on posts for the last month

May 7, 2009, Sister Nicole Swain married her sweetheart Brandon Hatch We were so happy to be able to go to Nicole and Brandon's reception in Orem. We love this sweet former missionary from the Pittsburgh Mission.

April and May 2009 - Jared playing tennis

We've gone to as many tennis matches as we could to watch our grandson Jared Purcell and his mixed doubles partner Megan Dalley play. There were lots of days when the weather was cold and miserable so I didn't seem to get a lot of pictures. They played so well in the District Meet, and they are going to state next week.

April 29, 2009 - Trenton Friends Reunion

Several of the "girls" who grew up in Trenton, Utah try to get together each spring for a reunion at one of our homes. I hate to say it, but some of us are getting older. Left to Right - Beth Chambers, LuDean Cowley, Sharon Richman, Marlene Godfrey, Colleen Williams, Grett Curless and Von Della Johnson. Carolyn Littledike was there but had to leave early. It is a really run few hours that we spend together laughing, and sometimes crying with each other.

April 18, 2009 Watching Michelle and Dallin's track meet

Michelle ran in 3 races and did very well in all of them. She made personal best in her races. She does the long races, that make me feel tired just to watch. Since then, she went to the District Track Meet, and she medaled in all of the 4 races. She's going to state and will race in the 1 and 2 mile, the 800, the medley relay where she does the long part of it.
This was Dallin's first year to do track. He did well and made his personal best in just about every race. He also does the 1 and 2 mile runs. Wow.

Part of the time of course we just hung out with the other kids. Jackie is getting some shade.

Samuel loved the piggy back ride from Joseph

Ryan and Samuel taking advantage of the shade. It was a great day for a track meet.

April 3, 2009 Mission Reunion

This was our first Mission reunion, and it was a great time. We were happy to see Sister Dabell (now Putnam) and Sister Tsunoda who were the first two sisters that we served with.
Here is a great group of sisters from the mission. We served with several of them, and others had left before we got there or served in other areal.
