June 8 and 9 the Couples in the mission drove up to Kane, PA for a couples conference. Most of us went in two vans from Pittsburgh. It was about 2 1/2 hours up in the beautiful Allegheny Forest. Colonel and then General Kane was a wonderful friend to the LDS church, and this is the town that he built. The mansion was build as a home for his family. It is now a beautiful bed and breakfast called Kane Manor where we stayed.

Pretty cool history! How come I don't remember ever hearing of General Kane? Your hair looks good Mom! Angela would be proud of you!
